MagicLogic has developed a special version of its load optimization engine for mixed palletization.
The key difference between the standard Cube-IQ Loading Engine (CLE) and the Mixed Palletization Engine (MPE) is that maximum volume utilization becomes secondary to stability of the load. For straight palletization this is not that difficult, as loading typically takes place in layers/tiers.
In the case of mixed palletization the variation in carton sizes typically makes layered loading impossible. The MPE has special optimization facilities built in that improve ‘brick laying’, turning and spreading, thus increasing stability.
